September is easily one of the nicest months in Halifax. The days are still warm, the evenings are a little cooler, and there’s just the first hint of autumn in the air.

Yes, the kids are back at school, university students have returned and routines are starting again, but Halifax certainly isn’t slowing down. September is packed with food, culture, live music, community celebrations and plenty of festivals across the region.

    A lively celebration of colour, music and community at Alderney Landing.

You can also catch free movie screenings and other activities at Halifax Public Libraries, plenty of live music across the city, and Grafton Street Dinner Theatre’s Love Shack, featuring live covers of favourite ’80s hits.
